Last week Abby and I were making a mad dash to the bus stop when out of nowhere I tripped and went flying across the pavement of our driveway. (No joke.) Yep. Practically took a face plant as I skidded on all fours. Scraped up both hands AND knees--even tore a good hole in my favorite brown corduroys. Now even as a grown adult, I tell you I was fighting back tears. And honestly, my owies hurt even more an hour later than they did initially. Even now, a good week later, it still hurts to get down on my knees.
Empathy. It's given me empathy. The next time one of my children scrapes up a limb, I am going to be a lot more understanding.

Nothin like some road rash to make you know what it's like to be a "little". I hope you are feeling better soon. Youch!
Ooh - that doesn't sound like a funny one... I didn't laugh at this mental picture. Hope you feel better soon, and sorry about your pants!!
Ohhhhh...that's the worst. I'm so sorry.
Yikes! I bet that was a sight. What did Abby say? Hope you're healing quickly!
Ouch! Sorry too about your pants.
Come to me, let me kiss it and make it all better or maybe we should make a batch of fresh cookies...ya know comfort food.

Oh, KJ. That hurt to read. I am sorry. I have done that more times than I care to blog about.
Farf, mmm...warm cookies sound good, especially with Farfa's touch!
Nicole, Abby was surprisingly compassionate..."Oh, are you OK, Mom?"
Carla, really, you have?
I would have cried too! Especially if I ripped my pants! LOL
Sharing time, then? OK here's one.
I had just had Joshua and RAN out to get the mail(cause he might be crying!)my milk had come in and I tripped on the steps leading to the house. Landed on my knees, my breasts and then my elbows. I couldn't even get up-no ab muscles working. I sat and sobbed in the yard, bleeding and hurting.
Carla, oh honey...I'm sorry I asked. You win.
