Conversation between the kiddos last night while looking at Christmas lights:
Courtney: Wook at dat! It's Snoopy!
Nathan: Courtney, that's not Snoopy, that's Pooh!
Emily: Nathan, that's not Pooh, that's WINNIE the Pooh!
Abby: Mom, what is Pooh anyway...a PIG?
What are your favorites when it comes to Chrismas lights and decorating for the holidays? Do you like colored, white, blue...garland, wreathes, manger scenes, etc.? Speaking of manger scenes...I want one--but they are so expensive! Keeping my eye out on Craigslist and such...I will be steering clear of anything blow-up, however!
An honest glimpse into the journey of one Christ-follower and her family. Leaving a legacy and hoping it is one that points to God despite mistakes and imperfections!

Forever?
I just had the realization yesterday that this past week I very well may have changed my last diaper...F.O.R.E.V.E.R.
And I did not let out a whoop of joy as one might expect. It actually made me sad. I had that sinking feeling as I realized this is the end of an era. A more-than-a-decade era, and one which I have enjoyed. Yes, it will be nice not to have to spend money on diapers, and I won't miss changing the poopy ones. But I have truly enjoyed having little ones around and this means we are moving closer & closer to none of them being little. I am so blessed that I've been able to do this four times. My goodness, I'm tearing up as I write!
On a positive note, Courtney is doing very well in the potty training department. She just up and decided on her own last week that she was going to wear panties, and she's only had one or two daytime accidents all week. And we thought she was really amazing in rinsing out her own potty chair...until I discovered that she'd been DRYING IT OUT, too, with the HAND TOWEL that we all use! Ack!
So last week we made the monumental trip to pick out panties...would it be Dora, puppies, princesses--the choices were endless and Courtney changed her mind 7 times before settling on her pick. She's been having a blast changing her "unders" or "underwears" or "panties" at least 3 times a day, and I'm having fun (mostly, sniff sniff) watching her grow up.
