At 5:00 pm last night the kids and I decided to scrap supper preparation, throw out the schedule, and head for the beach! They've been begging to go since school let out. Wade met us there after work & brought sub sandwiches. A picnic on the beach and an evening swim to boot! Have I mentioned that I love summer?

As for memories as a kid...my parents have a house on a little lake in Waconia and that's where I grew up. We'd spend all day it seemed in the water, and often take a dip at night, too. Especially on hot days. (The house didn't have air conditioning!) Ah...good memories.
