Abby's Turning 8!

Yesterday we had a special birthday outing for Abby's 8th Birthday. The long awaited anticipation of two big events events--ear piercing, and the purchase of her very first American Girl Doll! (Though she and Emily do have Bitty Babies, too.) We went to the Mall of America and made it a girls' day by inviting both Grandmas and Auntie Ginger to join us. (Special thanks to these ladies, plus Aunt Bria, too, for going in on these special gifts!)

Abby was a little nervous, so Grandma P. offered to go first! (Did a 3rd piercing and a re-pierce, I think. Go Grandma!)

Looks like a Super Fun Day! I am sure she will always remember it:)
Did she get a certain doll? Or make one of the "just like me" one's?
Advice- Try to keep her hair in a braid or pony as much as possible, Mikayla has Felicity and her hair has become a rats nest:)

Looks like it was a great day! Emma says she's not piercing her ears until she's 10 because it will hurt. Tell Abby she looks beautiful.

LadyD, I agree--it's hard to keep their hair looking nice (we already have the Bitty Twins--which have long hair too.) The wire brush helps, though. I'm thinking it would work well for Barbies' hair, too!

Nicole, no rush, right? Abby is honestly the biggest 'fraidy cat there is, but once it was done she said it really didn't hurt.

I knew you were planning this fun and memorable event, but am a bit surprised Wade didn't do the piercing. :)

PW, Hahahahahahaha! That's hilarious! Not on his life would I have let him do that.
