Introducing Baby Prestrud#4! We had our 20 week ultrasound today. (I'm 21 weeks.) Baby looks great and I'm measuring right on target. That's all the information you're going to get, though, as we avoided any gender-identifying angles. (We've been surprised with all of our babies so far.) We don't have a scanner, so the photo is one Wade took of the ultrasound screen with our camera. We never got any good views of the face, but this was a good shot of the whole body profile.
Also, can I just say that I love my midwife. Even though she's typically off on Sundays (but still does all her other patients' deliveries the other 6 days of the week) she said if I wanted, to feel free to have her paged even on a Sunday, too. (That she'd come as soon as soon as she was done with church.) I could have hugged her.

Your little one is beautiful, Kara Jo. Do you know the gender and just aren't telling or are you staying surprised yourselves as well? Will we get to hear name possibilities or will that be a surprise too? I am horrible at waiting for these things.....but if you say so, I'll try to wait.:) I'm so happy for you guys!!
Sorry Katie--mum's the word. On both counts probably, gender and name. (No, we don't know the gender ourselves, either. I wouldn't be able to keep it a secret if I knew, probably.) I'm no fun, I know. I will say that we have a girl's name picked out, but still aren't sure for a boy's name--we've got a couple of possibilities, though.
sigh......awwwwlriiiight. (that was said in a whiny voice) I hate waiting. :) I am still happy for all 5 of you as you await the new family member whomever he/she may be. Keep up the good work Mama P.

Yay! It still hasn't really hit me that there's another little Prestrud in there. Can't wait to do his or her hairdo, though! :)

We never shared names and we never wanted to know the gender ahead of time either. I was surprised ten times. With Gabe the ultrasound technician knew I didn't want to know but as soon as she placed the thing on my belly it was quite evident we were having a boy. She tried to dart away but Gabe turned and gave us another view. One of my first thoughts was, "I'm so glad, 'cause if the baby has Down syndrome I'd rather have a boy." And I didn't have any testing to tip me off. Sometimes you just know.
